Guest ekorazn
I dled the dvd version of mandrake 10.1. I unzipped the files into a dvd. I try to boot of the dvd, but nothing comes up. Then I realized that there was a boot.iso under some folders in the dvd. So I burn that and use that CD and reboot. The installer comes up and after installing one driver, the installer says that I don't have the mandrake installation CD. I figured it must be the DVD, since it had about 2GB worth of stuff. I put that in and it says that it can't get to a compressed file (it's under the stage2 folder). Now I'm helplessly stuck on this issue. I don't know what exactly the installation CD is. Help anyone? devries
Didn't you download an iso file? Don't extract the contents just burn it as an image. That will give you a bootable dvd.
