coverup
I have a Dlink 724P+ wireless router with printserver. Among router features listed on the dlink website, there is a mention that it is Linux printing capable. My printer is a Postscript printer HP laserjet 1200. However, I can't configure it to work with the printserver; the mirracle happened only once - somehow I got the mandrake test page out. The rest of the time, nothing comes out of the printer. The CUPS webbased manangement page shows: Printer State: processing, accepting jobs. "Network host '192.168.0.1' is busy; will retry in 30 seconds..." Device URI: socket://192.168.0.1:9100/ but nothing happens... Could somebody please give any idea? It turned out that the printserver uses port 515, found this by running nmap 192.168.0.1. To print to this port, the printer must be set up in printerdrake as an lpd queue, i.e., lpd://192.168.0.1/lp Edited March 6, 2005 by coverup
