bamboo_spider Posted March 2, 2005 Report Share Posted March 2, 2005 Hi I am running Linux on two Compaq Armada E 500's (128 and 384 mb ram) 11 and 18 gb GDD. On both there is a simlar problem they do not read cd's - any cd. They read dvd (-r's) , why and what can be done. They were both converted to Linux from Win XP (after being originallly win 98 and win 2k) and after conversion to linux FC3 and Mandrake they do not even recognzie a cd what's to be done regards bamboo Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
