imwithstupid
I just ordered a griffin powermate (glorified volume knob). I was wondering if anyone here has one up and running on their computer yet. So far I've gone to these websites and they seem pretty informative. http://sourceforge.net/projects/powermated/ http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Griffin_Power...nd_Kernel_2.6.x http://groomlakelabs.com/grandamp/code/ http://powermated.sourceforge.net/ From what I read their is a good change that my 2.6 kernel has the driver already in it. If not i'm going to try and not recompile but build the module. I'll post the how to on here after I actually get the device and get it working. Maybe I'll include some pretty pictures too. imwithstupid
ok, I just got the powermate in the mail today. It plugs in and is regocnized and all (turns blue, harddrake/dmesg show all is well). However, when i got to compile powermated i get an error while running ./configure that says i don't have alsa installed. This is, of course, false. I do have alsa running and it's what i use for puredata, xmms, and everything. Any ideas?
fissy
Perhaps don't have the alsa development libraries and bits installed?
