How to build 586 rpms on x86_64 linux?

Recommended Posts

Since I haven't received a reply may be I should paraphrase the question - I am sure that this is a simpler question than the previous one.

a) Can I run Mdk-10.1 x86_64 and i586 distros on the same set of partitions? So if I need to build i586 rpms should booting with a 586 kernel be the workaround to my problem?

B) If the answer is yes to the above - which distro should I install first x86_64 or i586 ?

BTW, I only have the amd64 rc1 CDs - I intend to upgrade them after installing them.

c) If the answer to a) is negative - how should I proceed?

I hope that people out there would be able to help me out on this one.

Thanks,

A.
