Guest thescamperer
I installed Mandrake 10.1 and have not had much success with it. I've decided to hold off learning to use Linux for a few months, and so [ following some online instructions from Microsoft ] formatted the hard drive on which Mandrake was installed. Linux is all gone, but the boot loader thing is still there each time I start my computer. It asks whether I want to run Mandrake or Windows. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this? I'm not sure which boot system I selected under Mandrake, but I assume it's the default one. Please help!!!
bvc
if you have xp/2k, boot cd and do a repair from console and run fixmbr if for some reason that doesn't cut it then do it again but this time do fixboot fixmbr if win98 boot a startup floppy and run fdisk /mbr
