Guest pdjones2112
Hi, Hope this is an appropriate forum... I would like to use kdm instead of mdkkdm. MCC does not have an option for this. I have tried adding creating /etc/sysconfig/desktop with DISPLAYMANAGER=kde, but that does not seem to work. Oh, forgot to say I am using MDK 10.1 official download. Any ideas? Does mandrake 10.1 not look at the /etc/sysconfig/desktop file? thanks paul [moved from Installing Mandrake by spinynorman - welcome aboard :)]
Germ
Welcome to the Forum. Silly question...is kdebase-kdm installed? Your edit of /etc/sysconfig/desktop should be DISPLAYMANAGER=KDM, not "kde".
Ixthusdan
The choice will appear in MCC if you have installed kdm. It should have installed by default, but ya never know.
