fangbite
Basically gates is saying that it won't work unless you use his crummy stuff. He's also saying that many programs which do the same thing is bad. More crap. Sorry, but while I may like open-office, k-office is better for bob down the road. Shadowchaser
Microstink is doing what it does best! Since it has no facts or unbias lab test, they try to intimidate by spreading F.U.D When it comes to Open Source NO One should ever listen to them, There a out to cover / protect there own butts. Remember every person that uses Open Source Programs is taking $$ from MS. So to them not only is Open Soft there enemy, but so are the Users who use it.. Guest DUCKULA
Bill Gates has sent an email to all Microsoft's corporate customers warning that those in search of technological interoperability shouldn't look towards open source software. What a stupid statement! Like their corporate costumers don't have a mind of their own to sort things out. Sure they're going to go like uh... Ok., yeah right. To me, this only shows how scared MS really is of this new philosophy called Open Source Software. Some people have even dared to call the OSS movement a communist thing. You know, what's really going to suck is that all these corporations, that depend on commercial closed software, will initiate law suits claiming patent, and copyright infringements, simply to cause damage and slow down OSS's progress. They don't understand that this is only the tip of the iceberg, it's not only about software, but about a way of thinking, a new economic model if you will. Community work aimed towards a common cause. Those who think that they need to be specially rewarded for what they do, for their skills, need not apply. MS is really scared, and it shows. I wouldn't be too worried about that letter Bill Gates sent to his corporate costumers, because they will make they're own choices, and if their smart enough they'll catch the wave and ride along.
