Tymestream
As an ATI card owner (with 3D working under Mandrake 10.1 - latest drivers) I am aware of the problems with ATI product support. I was considering getting an LCD monitor and I would like to use the DVI connector. The problem is that without an LCD to test I do not know if it supported under the standard driver or if it requires special set-up. Question: Is anyone running a LCD off of an ATI DVI connector? And if so, was it as simple as plugging in the DVI connector or was there more configuration?
Guest jared1999
Works fine here, both with Xorg driver and official. Didn't have to do anything, it just worked. Only modification I've done is to set a fixed refresh of 60 Hz and enable Vsync, but those changes are a matter of taste :P My setup: Samsung SyncMaster 172T on Radeon 9600 Pro connected with DVI.
