Hi, :)

I'm trying to install superkaramba but get the following error :

X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

I've tryed to install the libxorg-x11-devel but get this message :

snapshot10yh.jpg

It appears that i also need these dependencies.

zlib-devel is needed by libfreetype6-devel-2.1.9-2mdk

devel(libz) is needed by libfreetype6-devel-2.1.9-2mdk

Does anyone have a link for them? I'm using mandrake 10.1, all help is greatly appreciated

Have you set up your repositories using Easy Urpmi? (See the link at the very top of the page ;) )

zlib/libz should be available in the "main" repository.

Edit: For that matter, superkaramba-0.34 is available in "contrib". ;)

Thanks that sorted the X configure error but now I get this :

checking for KDE... configure: error:

in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.

So, check this please and use another prefix!

as you can guess ima n00b to linux

Well, the header files are also available via urpmi/rpmdrake. Just look for the "development" files. (They will have names like "kde<something>-devel.0.0.0-0mdk.rpm". IIRC, installing those will include the necessary headers.

Sorry I can't be more specific. I'm at work on a Windows machine right now. Nowhere near my Mdk installation. ;)
