Guest fishfillet Posted December 25, 2004 Report Share Posted December 25, 2004 another newbie having problems with dial up connection... im using mandrake 10.1 official download. i set up my dial up internet connection using the KPPP tool cause the one at the mandrake control center can't even connect me to the internet. nwei, the configured the KPPP.. username, password and alll with the DNS, Gateway, and IP stuff set to automatic. It dials up and somewhat connected me to the internet... however, when i use my browsers.. it wont work! i ping google.com or any site.. no connection?! my firewalls are down. im using an external Topic 56kbps modem. the modem and the configuration works well on my FC2 box... what's wrong with mandrake? dave [Mod edit: I've split this post from the bottom of a different topic, it might get noticed this way] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
