Guest Blue Storm
This is the second time this has happened, the first time I thought it might have been a fluke or a bad burn. I downloaded the 10.1 DVD iso and used that but this time I downloaded the 3 cd isos and I have the same problem. What is basically happening is that I put the CD in and boot from it, it goes and detects stuff and loads the program into memroy, it then gives my a black screen with the worlds 'Proceeding, please wait' at the bottom and then just stays like that. I am running an Athlon 64 3200+, 513 mb or DDR 400 Kingmax TinyRAM, Gigabyte K8NS Pro MoBO. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to get it to install? devries
Try it with different boot options. At the splash screen hit F1 and tthen try it with: linux -noapic -noacpi (or with others).
Guest frankygth
Unplug all your USBs and try and then try to install, this worked for me
