solarian
Hi! I know that to do this I need to edit one file, but I've forgotten which and how. I want that on boot I don't have to press "Esc", so that the boot process details are shown, but it starts with a 'pressed esc" by default. Thanx in advance! arctic
go e.g. into mcc, boot section. there you can activate and deactivate the bootsplash with one mouseclick. ;)
solarian
I've (of course) tried it . It then only shows up the default screen without the loading bar and that's it. There was a file in /boot to edit. One line. Anyone knows this more detailed?
ianalis
remove display=silent from the append line of the image you are using

ianalis
remove display=silent from the append line of the image you are using <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think I made a mistake. That should be splash=silent. Anyway, I guess you got the idea and solved your problem :)
solarian
Yes, indeed I did, thanx again. I didn't know this could be solved through GUI. Now to wait a few weeks till I need a restart. :) That's what I love about Linux.
