Anyway...go to: https://jsecom16.sun.com/ECom/EComActionSer...35383A99D0FED5B Middle of the page "Linux Platform" click on download "RPM in self-extracting file (j2re-1_4_2_06-linux-i586-rpm.bin". Note where you save the rpm. Then go to: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/jre/install-linux.html and follow the directions. It's pretty easy. Java 1.5 is out now, but there are rumblings of problems with compatibility problems with some apps. This stuff has been covered in previous posts on this board.
