Last time I was in harddrake>sound stuff, there was no option to disable the soundcard, which of course would be the best option. If it's onboard and you do not use it on any OS you should be able to disable it in the bios. Otherwise, you can also disable alsa the same way you disabled harddrake. More detailed info can be found in /var/log/messages or /var/log/dmesg. You can also just do dmesg in a terminal. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
