I mainly use xmms, but I've had the same problem using AmaroK. Problem: when i play an mp3 file and it has a lot of bass, I get a scratchy sound , rustling (Im finding it hard to describe this in english as it isn't my mother language ;) , hope you can make anything of it) But: When I use mpg123 when not in X, the sound is perfect, so I suspect it isn't a hardware or driver problem. I've tried all sorts of output plugins (alsa, oss, esound,..) but nothing seems to work :( I'm using mandrake 10.1 OE Thanks in advance, vandam Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
