bash script for apache

I need some thoughts ideas about a script:

If your familiar with apache and what it installs were, blah blah blah.

I've moved "everything apache" too

/tools/httpd/apps/<APPLID> *APPLID = Application Name for different projects

Everything in /etc/httpd is in <APPLID>

Everything in <APPLID>/conf/httpd.conf that points to any dir is now pointed back to /tools/httpd/apps/<APPLID>

Is there an easy way to make the variable for <APPLID> in all those area's in httpd.conf point back to say <pwd> or something like that?

Any ideas? Did that even make sense :P

Or a script that will automatically fill in the paths/ip/port for httpd.conf when the user runs the script?
