chocobanana Posted December 12, 2004 Report Share Posted December 12, 2004 Greetings I'm using Mandrake 10.1 OE and I wanted to use Gaim with friends that use MS Messenger. The messaging works fine, however the file transfer doesn't. I can send files normally but I can't receive any. Another problem is that in msn they can't see my online status (I always appear offline), and they can't see my avatar either. Can somebody help? You can set the preferences to ask confirmation for each download. Neither do I have any issues people seeing me online, except the dont see my avatar. I believe you can set the online status in the accounts section. Hope this helps ya, ill check later today when i am behind my system. tyme Posted December 13, 2004 Report Share Posted December 13, 2004 go under tools -> preferences, then in the new window go under network. uncheck "Autodetect IP address" and put your external IP address in the box below that. see if that helps any.
