Guest mihaipas Posted December 11, 2004 Report Share Posted December 11, 2004 hi I'm new to linux. I have Mandrake 10.0 installed (kernel 2.6.3-7mdk) on a Epox 8RGMI mb (nForce2 IGP chipset). I recently installed the nVidia drivers. For sound I use Threaded Open Sound System as recommended by nVidia. When I used ALSA xmms worked (no volume control though). Now with OSS I have volume control in all applications but xmms crashes (disappears from desktop). Please tell me if you know a way to make xmms work with OSS.
