Guest troy9 Posted December 10, 2004 Report Share Posted December 10, 2004 I was wondering how to install halflife HLDS on mandrake 9.1 . The file is a bin file. All the tutorials I have found on the internet are for a tar.gz version of it. Im on dial up so im not gonna download a new version. The file is on a Flash disk, which is mounted as /mnt/win_c2 And i want to install it to /mnt/hdb/halflife i think thats it anyways (its my second HDD) Ive tryed using urpmi /mnt/win_c2/hlds_1_3111_full.bin (Im not sure what im supposed to be doing but im trying anythig :) ) Also tryed CHMOD chmod +x hlds_1_3111_full.bin While in the directory of hlds_1_3111_full.bin. When I used urpmi nothing happened. When I tryed CHMOD I got an error. The error is "chmod: failed to get attributes of hlds_1_3111_full.bin': No such file or directory.
