lawsonrc Posted November 25, 2004 Report Share Posted November 25, 2004 I installed FC2 on my laptop, a Toshiba 5005-S507. At the time of installation, I had my Netgear Notebook Adaptor FA411 car in a slot. (I am using this because the ethernet card built in the laptop is broken.) In addition, I also use a Linksys WPC11 ver. 3 card when at internet cafes. It also isn't working. When I boot up and show details, there is a line that says: "pcnet_cs device eth1 does not seem to be present". I am a "nontechie simpleton", so thorough, step by step instructions would help me greatly. Overall, this has been the easiest install on my lappy, with SuSE9.2 the next easiest (Many problems with MDK10.1 OE Powerpak d/l as member of club, and with FC3).
