arctic
hi there :) go into your bios and set the cd-rom/dvd drive as primary boot source. save and exit. then insert your mandrake cd and reboot your machine. you should see now a blue boot-screen that will guide you through the install-procedure. Guest LizardKing
Hi artic, Ok, but I already have mandrake 10.0 installed, I just want to install some features someone told me PowerPack had. More specifically, nVidia drivers. What u telling me to do sounds more like if I wanna install mandrake from scratch, is that correct? Sarissi
LizardKing, I am a longtime Powerpack user. Loading the nVidia is part of the Mandrake Powerpack Install. Right after it install the bootloader, it asks for a certain CD (if you have the CD version as I do). This is where it is configuring the nVidia graphics driver (precompiled kernel). With SuSE 9.2 Pro, you download the nvidia.sh as part of the online updates during installation, and it configures things. You just choose you video card. Regards, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> correct. it seems that i misunderstood you. you can add the nvidia packages from your powerpack-cds ( i think it is cd 4) or you can add them e.g using the easyurpmi mirrors.
