Guest maiku
I'm in the process of building a MythTV machine with 10.1 and 2.6.8.1-10mdk. I'm using ndiswrapper 0.11 (from src) and WinXP drivers to get my DWL-G510 wireless card working. So far it's worked well with the exception of these occasional errors: wlan0 (WE) : Wireless Event too big (373) They've seemed pretty harmless, but today the system crashed several times requiring reboots. (output text below) I'm wondering if the crashes are related to the wireless card. Has anyone else seen similar errors? Is there a way to interpret the output and find the source? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------- Nov 18 20:37:24 localhost kernel: wlan0 (WE) : Wireless Event too big (373) Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 30303030 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: printing eip: Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: d8d0ea86 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: *pde = 00000000 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: Oops: 0002 [#1] Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: Modules linked in: tveeprom ivtv saa7115 videodev msp3400 tuner i2c-algo-bit i2c-core ndiswrapper nfsd exportfs lockd sunrpc md5 ipv6 es1371 soundcore gameport ac97_codec af_packet usbhid floppy ne2k-pci 8390 ide-cd cdrom loop via-agp agpgart ehci-hcd ohci-hcd uhci-hcd usbcore genrtc ext3 jbd Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: CPU: 0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: EIP: 0060:[pg0+412215942/1069604864] Not tainted VLI Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: EIP: 0060:[<d8d0ea86>] Not tainted VLI Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: EFLAGS: 00010206 (2.6.8.1-10mdk) Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: EIP is at 0xd8d0ea86 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: eax: c56a9300 ebx: d3b6c960 ecx: 30303030 edx: c56a9300 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: esi: d371dca0 edi: d5eba220 ebp: d7f87ebc esp: d7f87eb4 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: ds: 007b es: 007b ss: 0068 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: Process events/0 (pid: 3, threadinfo=d7f86000 task=d7f80b50) Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: Stack: 00000000 d371dca0 d7f87ef0 d8d11359 00000000 c56a9300 d37803ac d4b4c000 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: d371dca0 bdf5c1d3 d7f80b50 d4b4c09f d7f87f18 00000000 007803ac d7f87f18 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: d8d1a9fb d8d4f000 d371dca0 00000020 d5eba49c d5eba220 d4b4c000 d371ba20 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: Call Trace: Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [show_stack+127/160] show_stack+0x7f/0xa0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c0107bbf>] show_stack+0x7f/0xa0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [show_registers+342/464] show_registers+0x156/0x1d0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c0107d56>] show_registers+0x156/0x1d0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [die+102/208] die+0x66/0xd0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c0107ef6>] die+0x66/0xd0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [do_page_fault+966/1456] do_page_fault+0x3c6/0x5b0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c0119b26>] do_page_fault+0x3c6/0x5b0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [error_code+45/56] error_code+0x2d/0x38 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c0107849>] error_code+0x2d/0x38 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [pg0+412226393/1069604864] 0xd8d11359 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<d8d11359>] 0xd8d11359 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [pg0+412264955/1069604864] 0xd8d1a9fb Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<d8d1a9fb>] 0xd8d1a9fb Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [pg0+412257806/1069604864] 0xd8d18e0e Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<d8d18e0e>] 0xd8d18e0e Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [worker_thread+386/544] worker_thread+0x182/0x220 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c012c272>] worker_thread+0x182/0x220 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [kthread+154/224] kthread+0x9a/0xe0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c012f8aa>] kthread+0x9a/0xe0 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [kernel_thread_helper+5/16] kernel_thread_helper+0x5/0x10 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: [<c01052c5>] kernel_thread_helper+0x5/0x10 Nov 18 20:38:00 localhost kernel: Code: d8 8b 46 0c ff 70 0c ff 75 0c e8 3a 1c 00 00 8b 45 0c 8b 08 8b d0 eb 04 8b d1 8b 0a 85 c9 75 f8 8b 0e 83 79 08 00 74 07 8b 49 0c <89> 01 eb 03 89 41 08 8b 06 89 50 0c 8b 06 80 60 1c 00 8b 06 0f Nov 18 20:56:22 localhost syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
