Guest tylersrevenge
I've been running Mandrake 10.0 on my spankin new computer and its running great, except for the onboard sound and LAN. The motherboard is an intel D915GAV, and it seems everything else on it works except the two things I mentioned. I visited the Intel site, and they have drivers for Redhat, and SUSe, but no mandrake. http://developer.intel.com/design/motherbd/av/av_drive.htm I just decided to download the SUSE driver, and the file is a .sh file, so I used the command: sh aud_linux_1.5_beta.sh I get the error: "rm: cannot remove `/dev/null': Operation not permitted mknod: `/dev/null': File exists" can anybody halp me out or tell me whats going on? chris z
if the sound is onboard, try running sndconfig from a terminal as root. sndconfig if it says "command not found", install it. urpmi sndconfig it's on one of the CD's.
