In windows its working fine, but in linux no driver or configuration can get an ip.. I got a compaq wl110 and mandrake official 10.0 and the latest wireless-tools and here is some more info: [root@localhost modules]# /sbin/cardctl ident Socket 0: product info: "Compaq", "Compaq WL110 PC Card", "Version 01.01", "" manfid: 0x0156, 0x0002 function: 6 (network) When i just boot with mandrake it detects my card and when i configure it while booting or the wizard in drakconf it recognizes my card correctly: Vendor: Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter Description: Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter Media class: - Module name: orinoco_cs Mac Address: 00:02:a5:6e:4e:ed Bus: - Location on the bus: - if i give the correct settings with the wizard or iwconfig en then use ifconfig to get eth1 up then try dhcp it doesn't get any ip.. I looked trough a lot of sites and tuts but no luck yet... An extra funny thing is that when I boot with knoppix std the orinoco_cs driver automatically with no config starts working like a charm what is up with that? Can someone help me out? Thx in advance, iidn Edited October 30, 2004 by iidn
