Hey guys,

Im trying to get my wlan up and running all day but no success for now.. In windows its working fine, but in linux no driver or configuration can get an ip..

I got a compaq wl110 and mandrake official 10.0 and the latest wireless-tools and here is some more info:

[root@localhost modules]# /sbin/cardctl ident
Socket 0:
product info: "Compaq", "Compaq WL110 PC Card", "Version 01.01", ""
 manfid: 0x0156, 0x0002
 function: 6 (network)

When i just boot with mandrake it detects my card and when i configure it while booting or the wizard in drakconf it recognizes my card correctly:

Vendor: ‎Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter
Description: ‎Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter
Media class: ‎-
Module name: ‎orinoco_cs
Mac Address: ‎00:02:a5:6e:4e:ed
Bus: ‎-
Location on the bus: ‎-

if i give the correct settings with the wizard or iwconfig en then use ifconfig to get eth1 up then try dhcp it doesn't get any ip..

[root@localhost modules]# iwconfig eth1

I looked trough a lot of sites and tuts but no luck yet...

An extra funny thing is that when I boot with knoppix std the orinoco_cs driver automatically with no config starts working like a charm what is up with that?

Can someone help me out?

Thx in advance,
