Guest xeiter Posted October 25, 2004 Report Share Posted October 25, 2004 Hi I have Mandrake 10.1 and I use KPPP in KDE to connect to the intenret using my dialup account. Connecttion goes well and I am able to use the internet. I start KPPP as a regular user not as root and the problem is that once the connection with ISP is established I can't start ANY KDE application. They just won't start. It only occurs once kPPP establishes connection with the internet. Not while it is dialling but only upon the connection. Is it a common issue? Should I start kppp as root (because it seems to help but instead of the progrms not starting at all it takes like 4 minutes for each to start)? PLease advise. Thank You.
