How to install the kernel-2.4.22.10mdk-1-1mdk.src.

Hi, I am quite new in Linux.

 

I have to install the kernel: kernel-2.4.22.10mdk-1-1mdk.src.rpm

in Mandrake 9.2.

Could you provide me the appropriate guide steps in order to install it and configure it?

You can't install a src.rpm. You can use it to build a kernel.rpm. You then can install this kernel.rpm (http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man8/rpmbuild.8.html)

 

If you want to directly install a new kernel you need to download another package (without src in it's name)
