Shielder Posted October 15, 2004 Report Share Posted October 15, 2004 I'm thinking of ditching my Mandrake distro (sorry :unsure: ) Work uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux and I really should maintain some sort of compatability with them. If I install FC3 when it comes out, what will happen to LILO and my dual boot with MS? I would like to stay with Mandrake, but I just can't justify (to my wife ) the expense of buying the Mandrake Powerpack. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bvc Posted October 15, 2004 Report Share Posted October 15, 2004 when you install fc3, only the partitions you mark to be formated will. It will replace lilo with grub and setup the dualboot w/ win. I've used mandrake for 3 years and I've never bought a powerpack. I bought 7.2 and 8.1 standard editions. Downloaded 9.0's 3 cd's on dialup :P and broadbanded the rest. My contrib is here.
