Guest Chris:S
Mandrake gives an error; Eth0 failed. I have installed Mandrake 10.1 Community on my Laptop - http://www.jewelnotebooks.nl/index.php?page=saffier-1510 , mandrake does recognise my card (VIA Rhine II 10/100) and i have runned the config tool in MCC, installed LAN connection using DHCP. My card is connected to a sitecom router, and so are 4 other (windows XP operated) computers. On one of the windows computers, I've installed Mandrake Comm too and it connected fine, I didn't even have to install anything :). I have installed both windows xp and Mandrake on my laptop too, the connection works fine when I use windows. Ifconfig Eth0 gives: Link encap:Ethernet HW addr 00:03:0D:14:66:8B inet6 addr: fe80::203:dff:fe14:668b/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:3 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 B ) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B ) Interrupt:3 Base address:0xd400 ifcfg-eth0 gives: Device=eth0 BOOTPROTO=dhcp NETMASK=255.255.255.0 ONBOOT=yes HWADDR=00:03:0d:14:66:8b METRIC=10 MII_NOT_SUPPORTED=yes NEEDHOSTNAME=no Thanks in advance for helping me :D
