I have a classic problem with K3b and cdrdao, I have checked that the permissions are set right, but I can't get it to burn. I really need help on this one.

Mt debug report from cdrdao is this:

System
-----------------------
K3b Version: 0.11.6cvs
KDE Version: 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204
QT Version:  3.2.3

cdrdao
-----------------------
Cdrdao version 1.1.8 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@daneb.de>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty
Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables.
Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'
ATAPI:/dev/ide/host2/bus0/target1/lun0/cd: PLEXTOR CD-R   PX-W5224A Rev: 1.03
WARNING: Cannot read driver table from file "/usr/share/cdrdao/drivers" - using built-in table.

For all recent recorder models either the 'generic-mmc' or
the 'generic-mmc-raw' driver should work.
Use option '--driver' to force usage of a driver, e.g.: --driver generic-mmc
ERROR: Cannot setup device ATAPI:/dev/ide/host2/bus0/target1/lun0/cd.

cdrdao comand:

open k3b->settings->configure k3b->devices-> look to the right of where it says "cdrdao driver". it will probably say "auto", or whatever. click that & a drop down box will appear. choose one of the generic drivers. click "apply"->"ok". you may have to close & restart k3b, not sure though.

if that don't work then do what Ixthusdan suggested & run the setup. it's in the same place........ settings->k3b setup.
