USB Keyboard and Mouse Issue

Newbie here.

During installation, Mandrake looked for connected USB devices, but apparently did not correctly attach my mouse and keyboard. Both are USB and neither worked during the install (had to get out the old ones to make it work). Is this typical?

Now that installation is done, am I stuck with my old mouse and keyboard?

Thanks,

Daryl

Did you go into the BIOS and make certain that "legacy support for usb devices was enabled" ??? The wording may not be exact but will be along those lines. It is usually set as default......... DISABLED. Also make certain that Plug & Play is also Disabled

Hope it helps. John.
