how to adjust touchpad sensitivity?

hi,

 

i have a dell lattitude C600 which had fedora core 1 on it. the touchpad worked flawlessly until i decided to install drake 10. i got the touchpad working with the synapic driver and editing XF86Config-4 but it there a way to adjust the tap sensitivity of the touchpad? i have to tap it way too hard for my liking.

 

i was thinking it might have to be changed in the file somewhere?:

I don't know much about laptops and touchpads but you can change the mouse settings from the KDE control center (you have too, ofcourse, use KDE). Maybe there is a similar entry for the touchpad.

true it was worth a look but the control center only shows you mouse settings, nothing related to the touchpad.

change the MaxTapTime option, 180 is in milliseconds I think. recommended is 75 or 180, but I'm not too sure about what exact value you should give it.
