kmail receiving delayed mail

Hi and thankx in advance,

 

I have recently moved over onto Linux Mandrake 10.

 

I have been able to bring across my Outlook .pst file and import them.

 

The trouble I am having at the moment is being able to receive my emails in Kmail instantly. I am using bluebottle for my mail. I have also set up fusemail and have been testing them both.

 

Bluebottle sends out immediately but it takes about 20mins to receive anything in the Inbox. I have checked the mail via the web and I know it is there.

 

Any ideas?

hi blowfish, sorry, but I don't know how to answer your question :unsure: but I'd be interested to know if you could share how you have been able to bring across your outlook .pst file - I didn't think this was possible?

Kmail > Settings > Network > Receiving > Modify > Check interval

Hi Richard,

 

That should work only if the mail would arrive on time when I click get mail. Neither get mail nor setting the Check Interval effects the delivery time of the mail

 

Anyone else got any ideas?

In order to import your messeges in Kmail first; import you messeges into Outlook Express File > Import > Select the folders

 

Secondly, import your messeges into Kmail from Outlook Express. It's that simple.

 

But my mail still doesn't arrive straight away!
