coverup
I installed the latest stable version of gthumb 2.4.2 from the source. As for its photo editing features, can't wish of anything better than that. One big nuissance though: the Import Photos function is always unavailable. As a matter of fact, I don't have any problem with importing photos in both KDE and Gnome, a link to FLPhoto appears on the deskop as soon as the camera is turned on. I would however like to use gthumb as a "one tool for all"... Any advice?
bvc
sounds like some mime/filetype property needs changed? Edited September 19, 2004 by bvc
coverup
sounds like some mime/filetype property needs changed? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks, bvc. What exactly do you mean? The problem is that "import photos" in the gthumb menu is always faint, regardless camera is connected or is not. Ie, I can't browse the camera with gthumb, yet at the same time I can download photos using FLPhoto without a hitch.
bvc
I'm saying that you'll have to find where/how flphoto is accosiated with the camera and change it to gthumb, which may or may not be gnome-session related. I will have a look, though I don't know how cameras get automounted...
