devries
That means your soundcard doesn't support hardware mixing and you need a software mixer like arts (in KDE) or esd (in Gnome). Look in the setting for Gaim to change this (don't use Gaim so can't tell you where). If all fails start it with 'artsdsp gaim'. (only if you have installed arts ofcourse). Good luck
yellowchicken
It's an onboard sound card. But I think it's full-duplex In windows it ran fine.
Steve Scrimpshire
I think soundwrapper is also designed for this purpose. soundwrapper gaim You would also want to run the other programs that use sound with a similar command. devries
Full duplex means that sound 'in' (from a microphone for example) and sound 'out' at the same time is possible :)
