phunni Posted September 16, 2004 Report Share Posted September 16, 2004 As a more general reply to anyone else looking to use a script to do something - in Linux we use shell scripts with the extension .sh (usually, although not necessarily) as a kind of equivalent to .bat files. Shell scripting has a slightly different syntax to batch files and contains many of the type of commands you might use every day in a console.
