hippocampe
I have some unused space on my second HD so I wanted to experiment with other distros. I have a few questions: -Do I need another swap or can I use the one already on the first HD? -During the installation, will the new distro install its bootloader over the previous or simply add itself to the old one? -Will there be a problem due to duplicate file names (/etc for mandrake and /etc for distro#2 ?) Thanks

Counterspy
At the Linux documentation project http://www.tldp.org there are two How-To's, Multibooting with Grub and Multibooting with Lilo. Those, coupled with the IBM reference, should help you do a flawless install, even though the How-to's concern Linux and Windows.
