BanjoTEKE Posted September 8, 2004 Report Share Posted September 8, 2004 I have a laptop (TOSHIBA) with a CS4291 sound card (Cirrus Logic)... Doesn't seem to work in Mandrake 10 Download edition... The OS recognizes it as what it is, but no sound... How do I start the sound and or configure it? the OS (In the Mandrake/Linux Control Center under HARDWARE) shows it as: Crystal CS4281 PCI Audio Where can I go to check and see if it working or not? Try to setup your mixer with alsamixer and/or, if you are using KDE, with kmix. Perhaps one channel is in mute mode ...
