static
Hi guys! Long time no see. I feel bad for not having been around more in the last 9 months, life's been hectic moving out on my own, new job, Doom 3, etc. I'll be around a lot more if this problem gets solved because if not I can't get to this board!! I bought an AMD FX-51 and the Asus SK8N mobo to go with it - months of waiting later and finally I have SATA, linux RAID, etc running, except my NIC won't work. I just want to finally ditch windows for good, as was my plan for SO long. I'm out of ideas. I'm sure it would work if my whole network was gigabit ethernet, but only this onboard NIC is (It's the nforce 10/100/1000). I'm sure the problem lies therein. I get a link light, but I can't ping to save me yarbles. Anyone have any ideas?? It may be worth popping in a PCI 10/100 NIC and getting it over with... I tried DHCP and static IP's too, and I tried to use ifconfig to change the TXQUEUELEN from 1000 to 100 to no avail. Please help!
