ChrisM
Not sure if this is the right forum - apologies if it needs moving. Using Konqueror, I type in www.google.co.uk and get the following message: 'An error occured while loading http://www.google.co.uk: Timeout on server Connection was to www.google.co.uk at port 80' If I'm on another web site with Konqueror (say mandrakeusewrs.org) and then type in www.google.co.uk - the page loads up. About half hour ago, using Firefox, I was getting timeout warnings. I have tried again, and whilst the google page loads, it takes an age. I have tried typing other web site addresses using both browsers without any problems. I did also notice this problem occuring yesterday. Its odd about how long it's taking on FF and how I can get the page when jumping from another web site but not from a fresh page with K. Any suggestions? Echylo
don't know or it will help, but try the speed up firefox tricks in the respective forum. I think iit's too slow, I'll look in the about:config, for time out times, I'll post f I have found something
ChrisM
Well Configuration>KDE>WebBrowsing Work through the list and hit the default button where available. I've not been tweaking with my settings, so I don't understand why this works - but hey, I can Google once more  at least for now.
