Melekor Posted September 2, 2004 Report Share Posted September 2, 2004 Gdk-CRITICAL **: file ../../gdk/gdkgc.c: line 464 (gdk_gc_get_colormap): assertion `GDK_IS_GC (gc)' failed get this every time I try to run gtkterm, the app will start but does not fuction right was trying to console into a router using it and was not getting any response. Fallback posistion: minicom or xminicom(kinda-guied) work? serial link /dev/ttyS* confirgured/up/work? null modem cable check? Alternative: gtkterm-0.99.3 ok here but am not running mdk. compile source for your OS? A good many .devel packages (for header .h files) are required(mdk) if I rememeber correctly. Dont want to use minicom dont like it thus trying to use gtkterm serial link /dev/ttyS* confirgured/up/work? Yes, ttys0 is set up null modem cable check? Cable works fine with hyperterm from a windows box ...... Alternative:gtkterm-0.99.3 ok here but am not running mdk. using gtkterm-0.99.4 souce from sourceforge compile source for your OS? Standard OS from mandrake 10 download cd's A good many .devel packages (for header .h files)are required(mdk) if I rememeber correctly. Yes tons of files where needed before it would even complie, I downloaded and installed all the required dependances How about more configuration/raw feedback.
