Ixthusdan
Try hitting F1 at the splash, and typing "linux noapic" and see if that gets you thru the install.
Guest painkillah
once again the phrase " us the f*cking search" worked for me. i got the things working nicely. but i wonder ehy did usb dviced make the intsall so slow, and why did the install crash all the time (without that command), first time i installed mandrake10 (in june) i had usb mouse connected and my other things as well (joystick, scanner) and then the install went nicely? but anyways now im diving into the wonderful world of linux and mandrake
