Yikes! I have to admit that when I started out as a computer programming major we used punch cards.

But goodie :D . I, too, am a product of punch cards, patch boards, and slow turning open reel tape drives. I remember when we got our first drum mass storage unit for the Univac 1050-II. Imagine an object the size of an oil drum spinning inside a case. Imagine, also, one of those suckers breaking an spindle bearing and flying out of its case across the computer room floor.

I'm going to pay attention to this. If MS's Net platform becomes crossplatform as a result, it could be very interesting from a software standpoint.
