Guest netguy2000 Posted August 13, 2004 Report Share Posted August 13, 2004 Dear all, Its my first time on Mandrade and my english is also not good, plzz forgive me on both fields :D I want to configure DNS server on my newly installed Mandrake 10 Machine (kernel 2.6.3). I copy dns files from cdrom in my server (bind-9.2.3-4mdk.i586.rpm & bind-utils-9.2.3-4mdk.i586.rpm ) but when ever I try to install or upgrade bind it shows me this error. [root@myserver src]# rpm -Uvh bind-9.2.3-4mdk.i586.rpm error: Failed dependencies: bind conflicts with tmdns-0.1-12mdk [root@myserver src]# ( what is tmdns ?????????) (and why it is in my server????????)WHAT TO DO NOW. I have text base installtion in this machine. (dont like to install GNU ) PLZZZ HELP ME SOON. Thanks in advance.
