santner
Is there a tool for linux that gives real time info about the processor, memory... like winbar does for windoze. I saw that bvc has one from a screenshot that was posted, and it looked great. :D
devries
The simplest is the 'system monitor' in KDE. It's an applet placed in kicker. There are of course countless karamba themes (these work with lm_sensors) and Gkrellm is still around. Plenty of choise :)

spinynorman
There's also a Gnome system monitor. If you're using KDE or Gnome, they should be on the menu under System - Monitoring in 10.0 (Applications - Monitoring in 9.1). :)

bvc
gkrellm is what you saw in my screenie, and of course it's still around.....it's still by far the best.....at least until gdesklets are as easy to install, run and config as gkrellm is. santner
Thanks for all of the responses. I can't wait to try out gkrellm!
santner
Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
afrosheen
Also look into finding the elusive gkrellm themes package. My favorite is 'glass'. It makes all of gkrellm except for the graphs completely transparent. Always looks great on any desktop regardless of theme. Since the frame it's in disappears, you can move it with alt+click and drag.
