Steve Scrimpshire Posted August 8, 2004 Report Share Posted August 8, 2004 You create the file called .backupignore in the top of a directory tree with the names of files (or wildcards) in that directory that you don't want backed up. I'm assuming (I've never done this) that, for example, if you didn't want to backup the files in /etc, you would place a file called .backupignore in your / directory with this in it: /etc/* Or, I guess, you could put the file in /etc and have it contain this: * Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
