Hi

I guess this must be obvious somewhere, but i haven't found it .

for drakbackup where does the list of files to ignore go ?

.backupignore

 

hidden ?

where ?

 

excuse my newbieness

You create the file called .backupignore in the top of a directory tree with the names of files (or wildcards) in that directory that you don't want backed up.

 

I'm assuming (I've never done this) that, for example, if you didn't want to backup the files in /etc, you would place a file called .backupignore in your / directory with this in it:

/etc/*

 

Or, I guess, you could put the file in /etc and have it contain this:
