pmpatrick
Today they have some security updates for Xfree that I installed. Everything seemed fine afterwards until I tried to play ut2004 later in the day and it wouldn't load. Same deal with ut2003. The error message was something about no dri available. Reinstalling the nvidia drivers corrected the porblem so I'm guessing some links got messed up in with the XFree update.
HJ
When you install the nvidia drivers, it install it's own libraries for GLX that overwrite the one supllied by X. So when you updated X, it over-wrote nvidia GLX libraries with the default ones. That's why re-install nvidia fixed it.
pmpatrick
I only had problems with ut2003 and 2004; everything else worked fine including 3d enabled programs like tuxracer, NWN, neverball, cube, glxgears. 3D was working; just not with ut and the nvidia driver was loading. VeeDubb
Right, and not all programs will call all OpenGL related libraries. UT2k4 calls the ones that got screwed up, tux racer doesn't.
