tyme Posted July 27, 2004 Report Share Posted July 27, 2004 from here: Not sure if this was announced here or not, but a look at X.org reveals that in the August build coming out next month there is scheduled to include, the XDamage extension and the composite manager that Keith Packard made for Xserver, that has now been backported to X.org. Furthermore, I was in contact with one of the hackers who said the CVS tree should be receiving the extensions very soon (maybe as soon as today he said, but hes on vacation right now and he's in charge of it). This means we will soon have an X sever that will not be beta, and, most important, will not break all the XFree86 drivers, and support alpha blending and true shadows. :-D :-D w00t!
