hugerobot
I finally spent the time to configure my UPS with upsd, (actually apcupsd) and now that its running I want to install the gkups plugin for gkrellm so I can display my UPS info. But everywhere I look, gkups is no where to be found. Does anyone have this plugin? If you do, can you post a link to it or email it to me? Thanks
MoonChild
You might want to install a new version of gkrellm. Either compile from source (with the latest from their website) or from texstar's rpms. UPS monitor is included by default in 2.x versions (at least on mine is). On the other hand... Texstar has an rpm with a douzen or so gkrellm plugins for 2.x versions. You might wanna go for it. hugerobot
If gkups or another UPS monitoring plugin comes with Gkrellm 2.1.3, I can't find it. The only think I can find is a battery monitor for laptops. Thats not what I'm looking for. So, I guess I am still looking for that gkups plugin for gkrellm. Anyone have it? MoonChild
Okay, I did try to search for UPS on the webpage I gave you. It seems gkups is not developed anymore. But... http://www.starforge.co.uk/gkrellm/ is another UPS monitor that is being actively developed. Wants a Belkin UPS I think... Maybe you can twick it. How about gknut? http://sourceforge.net/projects/gknut/ I know this still isn't gkups that you were asking for but... Check the GKrellm plugins page. You will find cool stuff. XaWTV control throught gkrellm, as well as xmms and volume etc. It's fun!
hugerobot
Thanks! I spent a lot of time looking for other UPS monitoring plugins for gkrellm, but didn't find these! Unfortunately, the belkin one doesnt work with my UPS, and I'm not using NUT, so the gknut plugin doesnt work either. But I really appreciate your help. By the way, since you were listing some great gkrellm plugins, I should share my favorite, the seti@home monitor! Rob
