Guest anon
Yes, i had a problem with that myself a year ago, its tricky to set bind up with rndc. But this page will solve your problem! It doesn't matter that its a red hat site, the principal is the same with any Linux distro. http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/R...-NAMED-CONTROLS

Guest anon
I think you should try to follow the tutorial link above and use rndc. If you reallly don't want to use rndc, you could try removing it from /usr/sbin/rndc Alternatively, uninstall bind and reinstall without rndc support. Guest tabascal
Thanks I have finally got Bind working with rndc. I tried reinstalling Bind then with little help with the sample scripts from /usr/sharedoc/bind/ -it was working. I still need a help. My system has two nic cards. When Bind starts it listens on both the nics and the localhost. How do I configure it so that it listens only internal nic.?
